Massive Amount of Heroin Found in Tarrytown
Police discovered more than 10,000 bags of the drug - worth about $250,000 on the street - during a routine traffic stop.

Greenburgh police discovered more than 10,000 small bags of heroin Tuesday following a routine traffic stop in Tarrytown, according to authorities.
In total, the drugs weighted more than a pound and had a street value of about $250,000, reports The Journal News.
The drugs were hidden in a car, and arrested were Carolyn Claudio, 45, of Yonkers and Julio Vargas, 48, of New York City. Both were both charged with felonies including possession of a controlled substance, and they were remanded to county jail without bail.
