No Skating Scheduled Yet at Tarrytown Lakes

The City of New Rochelle opened two lakes and a pond on Thursday for skating, but Tarrytown has not yet followed suit.

In an email to residents Thursday, village officials said, “Please be advised that there is no skating at the Tarrytown Lakes scheduled to date.”

No further information was provided. In New Rochelle, Parks and Recreation Department staff inspected Paine Lake, South Lake and Carpenter’s Pond before making its announcement. In all three cases, safe skating areas are marked with signs and roped off sections.
