Scam Text Message Offering $10 Off Tarrytown Police Hoodies
Police say to not click on the link and that they will never solicit anything via text message or email.
TARRYTOWN, NY — Yet another police hoodie scam is making the rounds in Westchester County.
The Village of Tarrytown Police Department said multiple people have reported receiving a text message offering a Tarrytown Police Department hoodie for $10 off.

“Dear Sandra, Tarrytown Police Department hoodie 10$ OFF ready to order now [link redacted]”
“Please don’t click on the link if you receive this,” police said. “We are not selling anything and we will not solicit anything via text message or email. This is a scam and the source of this text message is unknown at this time.”
The Town of Bedford Police Department recently reported the same scam.
