Severe T-Storm Warning For Parts Of Hudson Valley Thursday

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of the Hudson Valley. The National Weather Service said the warning in in effect for northern Westchester County until 5:30 p.m.

Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds.

If you are outside, you should move immediately to shelter inside a strong building, and stay away from windows.

At 4:54 p.m. an area of strong thunderstorms was approaching from the north, moving southeast at 25 mph.

Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop in the lower Hudson Valley area as well.

Wind gust up to 50 mph are possible with these storms.
