What Happened to the Shell Station?
The Shell service station at the Bridge Plaza will likely reopen in early July.
Seemingly out of the blue, the on South Broadway and Route 119 shut down earlier this month.
The windows and doors to the store were shuttered and boarded up without explanation and so quickly that even Tarrytown village officials were not aware of what had caused the business to close, until today.
According to Tarrytown Village Engineer Michael McGarvey, the business and property is managed by Wholesale Fuels – which controls about 100 Shell stations in the area.

McGarvey said the existing tenant at the location did not renew their lease, but a representative from Wholesale Fuels said a new lease tenant to operate the Shell station will likely be in by July 1, operating the same as the previous tenant.
