5 Places to Donate Food For the Holidays

Ways you can give to others during the season of giving.

At certain times throughout the year, food pantries see a spike in the need for donations to support a growing need for food assistance on Long Island. Here are a few places you can donate food and toiletries locally for those in need.

 - located at St. James Church in Setauket, this food pantry and soup kitchen collects both food and toiletries for those in need.

Setauket Presbyterian Church in Setauket - The Church collects canned soups, vegetables, fruits and meats, rice, dried means, pasta, baby food, and formula, as well as toiletries.  The donations go to the Ministries in Coram.

Three Village Meals On Wheels - This organization runs a meal delivery program for homebound, handicapped, chronically ill, or convalescent persons in the community who are unable to prepare their own food. The organization is also currently holding its annual fundraising drive.

Arrowhead Food Pantry - The Three Village Central School District has opened a Food Pantry at Arrowhead Elementary School.

Three Village Garden Club - Non-perishable food items are collected for Island Harvest, a Long Island food pantry.
