#95 – Gorge on Indian Food at the Curry Club Buffet
Local landmark, with its train car office in back, offers unlimited eats for the adventurous vegetarian and omnivore alike.
For locals craving the powerful flavors of curry, cumin, coriander and cardamom, there's one landmark that's got what they're looking for ... in unlimited fashion.
Marked by the red train car that sits behind the eatery, is perhaps the top destination for Indian food in the area. And every day from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. its $9.99 all-you-can-eat lunch buffet attracts ethnic food buffs.
The buffet features every course, from salads, fritters, soup, fresh naan bread, rice, vegetable curries, creamy kormas, roasted meats like chicken tandoori to creamy rice and coconut-based desserts. There is also no shortage of classic Indian relishes, chutneys and sauces.

Also, the vegetarian-friendly restaurant always features – and clearly labels – several vegetarian dishes in the buffet. Though there's still plenty of fish, chicken, lamb and sometimes goat for omnivorous diners.
Most days you'll find a robust crowd, and with the restaurant being so close to Stony Brook University, there are plenty of professors and students filling up tables.

But they all make more than one trip to the buffet table.
Up until a few months ago, the restaurant held the same buffet at its Lake Grove location, but that has since shut down.
