#96 – Catch Lacrosse Fever This Spring
Three Village is known for its top-notch lacrosse teams.

Lacrosse may very well be the flagship sport of Three Village. Stony Brook University's men's team is ranked in the top 10 nationally, the women's team is poised for a potential breakout season in the America East conference, and Ward Melville High School's teams are no joke either. It makes sense, then, to let yourself get swept up in lacrosse fever at least once this season.
Your first chance comes this Saturday, Feb. 26, at . Stony Brook, ranked No. 5 in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association coaches' poll, takes on Virginia, ranked No. 1 in the same survey, at 12 p.m. Visit goseawolves.org for tickets and other information.
The Ward Melville girls' season officially kicks off March 29 against visiting North Babylon at 4:15 p.m., while the boys' team starts its schedule March 30 against visiting Patchogue-Medford at 4:15 p.m.

The Three Village Lacrosse club league, which offers kids as young as kindergarten-age the chance to play the sport, will soon announce its spring 2011 schedule on its website.
And in May, you'll have the chance to catch the NCAA women's Division I lacrosse championships, set for May 27-29 at LaValle Stadium.
