These are Emma Clark Library's free art classes for adults this summer. There are both online & in-person options, as well as day & evening classes.

Seashell Lighthouse Painting (In-Person)
Tuesday, July 5, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. OR 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Using a shell as a canvas, we will create a lighthouse painting. Instructor will provide supplies.

Coffee Painting (In-Person)
Thursday, July 14, 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Artist Bonnie Schwartz will teach you about painting with light and shadow, using coffee to paint a lighthouse. Instructor will provide supplies.

Relax & Paint: Summer Sailing (Online)
Thursday, July 21, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. Follow along step-by-step with instructor Riesa and create a beautiful sunset with a sailboat. Supplies needed for class and list will be emailed.

Helen Frankenthaler: Painting Class (In-Person)
Tuesday, August 2, 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. After a brief introduction, art historian Ranelle Wolf will instruct you in creating an abstract “soak stain” painting using paper on the ground. Supplies needed for class and list will be emailed.

Relax & Paint: Underwater Scene (Online)
Tuesday, August 9, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. Follow along step-by-step with Nikki and paint a beautiful underwater scene. Supplies needed for class and list will be emailed.

Basic Drawing: Use of Shading (Online)
Thursday, August 18, 7:00 – 8:15 p.m. Art teacher Amanda Fennell will teach you the concept of shading. This class is designed for the beginner or as a re-fresher. Supplies needed: a pencil, copy paper, and an eraser. A worksheet will be provided.
