P.J. Gelinas Junior High School students and staff members worked to combat local hunger by collected hundreds of non-perishable food items this November.
During the school’s annual Battle of the Cans event, each grade level worked to fill giant bins in the cafeteria and competed to collect the most number of cans. Thanks to the generosity of all families, more than 600 cans were donated to the Town of Brookhaven food drive, which benefits local families in need.
