As the summer winds down, consider keeping that summer excitement with a unique temporary job with as an archaeological field crew member.  The position requires physical labor such as shoveling, clearing brush, and carrying loads over 50 pounds, as well as conducting standard archaeological procedures such as mapping, surveying, keeping scientific notes, washing artifacts, preparing reports, and data entry. Applicants for this position should have one year full time experience and have completed field school in archaeology or have equivalent experience gained by working for a university, museum, or cultural management resource firm, and the position will require some travel.  For more details about the position, take a look at the university's job listing.
