Pedestrian Hit by Jeep in Selden Seriously Injured

BREAKING: The 32-year-old pedestrian was crossing the street when he was struck Monday night, police say.

SELDEN, NY – A 32-year-old man was seriously injured after he was struck by a Jeep in Selden Monday night, Suffolk Police said.

Joshua Ganci was a driving a Jeep Wrangler east on Route 25 when his vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the street 15 feet east of College Road at about 8:35 p.m., police said.

The pedestrian, Quincy Grant, of Farmingville, was transported by Selden Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries. Ganci was not injured.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. and anyone with information about this crash is asked to call Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.
