A 'Reel' Big Debut for Ward Melville Film Students

Films created by high school students appear at All-American High School Film Festival.

Original films created by three Ward Melville High School students – Rose Kelso, Jordan Pollak and Henry Da Costa – were broadcasted for large audiences as they graced the big screen at the AMC Theater in Times Square during this year’s All-American High School Film Festival.

The students’ films were selected from applicants from 17 countries and 48 states. As part of the festival, students competed against a number of tough entrants, many of whom came from private arts high schools were students attend film, screen writing and other career-related classes each day all year long and raise upwards of $20,000 to produce their films.
