Van Dalen finished ninth in the 1,500 final in 2009 and eighth last spring, the latter of which earned her All-America accolades. She's run the race as fast as 4:15.13 this year and a 4:13.72 in her career. Van Dalen also holds the school's outdoor record in the 3,000, but did not run that distance this year.
