📰 News we're reading
• Ulysses moves toward environmental designation for Smith Woo... (tompkinsweekly.com) — Ulysses officials are preparing to vote Oct. 13 on giving Smith Woods a Critical Environmental Area designation, which could bring new rules to protect its ecology and manage public use. Town leaders say they've heard no public objections so far, but concerns about unleashed dogs and forest damage are driving calls for clearer regulations in this small natural area.
