Brooklyn Bagel Shop To Open New Upper East Side Spot Wednesday
The soft opening will be followed by a grand opening celebration on March 11.

UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — A Brooklyn-based bagel shop is set to open its doors on Lexington Avenue.
First announced last summer, Bagel Point will be slinging bagels starting Wednesday during a soft-opening at 787 Lexington Ave, between East 61st and 62nd streets.
On Monday, the shop will have a grand opening celebration, according to an Instagram story posted by the Yemeni American Merchants Association.

Bagel Point is known for their fresh, inventive bagels and a wide array of cream cheeses, including unique flavors like blueberry, pumpkin spice, olive pimento and red velvet cream cheese.
The shop's most unique bagel offering is the Cragel — a half-bagel, half-croissant creation that comes in plain, cinnamon, coconut, spinach, turkey bacon with cheddar and za'atar varieties.

Other interesting bagel flavors include chocolate, strawberry and jalapeno bagels.
An array of fun, colorful bagels are available too. Beyond the standard rainbow bagel is a unicorn bagel, a spiderman bagel and a zebra bagel.
For years, the retail space next door to 787 Lexington Ave. has been home to some sort of carbohydrate vendor, including The Bread Factory and, more recently — and relevantly — a Pick-A-Bagel which closed in 2022.
Those successive years of bagels and breads on the block was broken when Asian-fusion spot Lilli And Loo, ironically known for the extensive gluten-free menu, relocated from their to-be-demolished Third Avenue home around the corner, next door to the still-standing Isle of Capri, to replace the shuttered Pick-A-Bagel in October.
Prior to Bagel Point, the space was home to a Boar's Head cafe, a spa, a Bolton's and was the longtime home of fellow Brooklynite Irving Chais' New York Doll Hospital.
