When they reached the Upper East Side, reports said Lakatos rammed Shaker's car against, sending it into a telephone pole. The men then got out of their cars and continued the argument until Ahmad stabbed Lakatos in the face and neck.

Police said Lakatos was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where he is expected to recover.
