FASTRACK Repairs Coming To Upper Manhattan A, B, C, D Lines
The MTA will conduct FASTRACK repairs on the lines for two weeks starting Monday.

We can’t fix Penn Station or update the subway’s signal systems. But we can give voice to your frustration, hold those in charge accountable and find creative ways to make commuting more pleasant. UPPER MANHATTAN, NY — The MTA will begin repairs Monday on Upper Manhattan A, B, C and D lines, disrupting service north of Columbus Circle, the agency announced in a press release.
An "army of maintenance workers" will be working during overnight hours (10 p.m.-5 a.m.) July 10-14 and July 17-21 on the A train tracks between the Columbus Circle and Inwood 207th Street stations, the MTA announced Friday. "FASTRACK has proven to be a significant driver behind decreasing delays – FASTRACK is effective because it allows us to consolidate maintenance forces in a concentrated area and perform proactive maintenance," Wynton Habersham, senior vice president for the Department of Subways, said in a statement. "Both combine to improve service delivery."
Workers will complete tasks such as replacing of track, third rail, electrical and signal components, debris removal, repairing tunnel infrastructure, painting, platform work and repairing signage, lighting fixtures and ADA components, the MTA announced.
