The mattress emporium that has served the likes of Henry Kissinger, Marla Maples and James Taylor moves to the UES at the end of the month.

UPPER WEST SIDE, MANHATTAN — A mattress emporium that has been on West 72nd Street for 87 years will officially head to the Upper East Side at the end of the month, the West Side Ragreports.
Long's Bedding, which has been at 121 West 72nd St. since 1962, first announced that they would be moving to a new, larger space at East 70th Street and Third Avenue last year.

The family business has been around since 1911, when owner Bob Long's grandfather started the business in Harlem, Long told the Rag in a profile on the owners. The Upper West Side store opened in 1962 and is now run by Long's daughter Terri, who joined the family business, which also includes Long's wife Judie, about 18 years ago.
In true New York City fashion, the Upper West Side spot includes headshots on the walls of famous customers — including Hentry Kissinger, Mandy Patinkin, James Taylor and Mandy Patinkin, the Rag reported.
