New York Historical Society to Offer Free Admission on Veterans Day
The New York Historical Society will offer free admission and family programs on Veterans Day.
UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The New York Historical Society will offer free admission and extra family programming Friday to celebrate Veterans Day this year. The holiday — which falls annually on Nov. 11 — honors those that have served in the United States military.
The Historical Society is partnering with the telecommunications company AT&T, which will be proving the funding to open up the museum for free, a New York Historical Society spokesman told Patch.
In addition to free admission the Historical Society will be open for extended hours — 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and will be offering extra family programming.

"Through our first-ever free admission day at the New-York Historical Society this Veterans Day, AT&T is hoping that New Yorkers young and old will be able to learn about and honor those who have sacrificed so much for the values our nation holds most dear," AT&T’s New York State President Marissa Shorenstein said in a statement. "Our company is so proud to support active service men and women, veterans and military families across our nation."
