Popular UWS Restaurant Will Serve Its Last Dinner This Weekend
We'll be crying into our pasta.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — The Leopard at des Artistes, a classic Italian restaurant on West 67th Street near Central Park West, will close for good this weekend after 14 years of service.
The restaurant, which is inside the Hotel des Artistes, is serving its final dinner service on Sunday, Feb. 15.
The restaurant is known for its bright southern Italian fare, warm atmosphere and murals painted by Howard Chandler Christy.

"It is time to say goodbye…What an incredible journey it has been! THANK YOU!!!!" the owners, Gianfranco Sorrentino and his wife, Paula Bolla-Sorrentino, wrote on Instagram announcing the closure.
Bolla-Sorrentino commented on the original post, confirming that the restaurant was closing because it was "simply not sustainable," she wrote.

"Yes, we are heartbroken. But, we are carrying out our commitment to the authentic Italian cuisine and warmth hospitality at Il Gattopardo and the “new” baby in the family, Mozzarella & Vino," she wrote. Both of their other restaurants mentioned are in Midtown.
The news of the closure was first reported by West Side Rag. There is no public information yet on what could replace the restaurant.
The Leopard at des Artistes is located at 1 W 67th St., New York, NY 10023.
