Here are five of the best bars to visit this weekend on the Upper West Side.

UPPER WEST SIDE — It's been a hot couple of weeks in New York and you deserve to cool off and let loose with a cold beverage this weekend. And Patch has you covered on where you should go this weekend to grab a drink on the Upper West Side.
Here are five of the best bars in the neighborhood, according to reviews on Yelp:
Yelp user Jackie S said: "I was pleasantly surprised with E's bar! I came here on a Tuesday night for a work-related Happy Hour event. The staff is SO friendly and accommodating and the bar itself is awesome. It's a bar, it's a restaurant, and...THEY HAVE TRIVIA AND BOARD GAMES. Wins all around!"

Manhattan Cricket Club — 226 W 79th St
Kimi G gave the bar high marks: "Getting into this place is the first obstacle but if you can wait for the staff to call your name, it's worth it. The cocktails are supreme as they are mixed up by a vintage looking mixologist. Though they could fit many more people into the Cricket Club space, I like that they choose to keep it clutter free and have a select amount of people at a time."

The Milling Room — 446 Columbus Ave
Yelp reviewer Maly A said:"Wonderful dining experience on a recent Friday night. The bar area is cool to hang out, cocktails are great. My friends said it was one of the best Cosmos she had and I tried the Besos Caliente......spicy! Loved it!"
Vanguard Wine Bar — 189 Amsterdam Ave
Kellie O loved the service: "The Vanguard Wine Bar is an excellent addition to the UWS. I stopped in with a friend prior to seeing a show at Lincoln Center and managed to snag the last two spots at the bar, this place fills up quickly! The crowd was well deserved because the experience was a pleasure start-to-finish. I chatted with the knowledgeable bartender over a few different wine options I was considering, she really took the time to give me her opinion and got me samples of a few."
Gebhard’s Beer Culture — 228 W 72nd St
Yelp user Meaghan E. said: "The space is great, there is an enclosed sun area up front, two bars, and some tables on the main floor. Upstairs has shuffle board and darts. The beer selection is amazing and the bar tenders are very knowledgeable, they love to describe the beers and give samples."
