SEAFORD, NY — While some Long Island school districts are moving back to remote learning temporarily until the COVID-19 cases plateau, the Seaford School District is opting to resume normal classes.

As the holiday break ended on Monday, Seaford Superindentent Dr. Adele Pecora sent a letter to parents about the short-term plan.

"Currently, there are no changes in participation protocols," Pecora wrote.

She said the district was planning to have take-home COVID-19 tests available on Jan. 4, but they will not be sent home with students.

With regards to the shortened quarantine process, Pecora said they are awaiting additional details but are keeping the 10-day quarantine in effect for those testing positive.
