Daytime Lane Closures On Ocean Parkway In Wantagh
Motorists should expect daytime westbound lane closures for concrete pavement repairs starting Sept. 10.

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced that motorists should expect daytime lane closures on the westbound Ocean Parkway in the Towns Hempstead and Oyster Bay, Nassau County starting on Thursday, September 10 for concrete pavement repairs.

One lane is subject to closure weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. between the Nassau/Suffolk border and the Wantagh State Parkway. Electronic variable message signs will relay updates to motorists.
Work is expected to be completed in approximately two months.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
