• Wantagh 10-year-old serves up a big moment at the US Open (greaterlongisland.com) — A 10-year-old Wantagh fifth grader, Alex Bianco, got a dream moment at the US Open by performing the ceremonial coin toss for the women's wheelchair singles final and meeting top players. She's been honing her game at Carefree Tennis in Merrick, recently won a tournament against older kids, and now hopes to return to the Open one day as a competitor.
