• Rhoads pet supply drive collects more than 450 pounds (liherald.com) — Wantagh residents helped power a recent pet supply drive that collected over 450 pounds of food, toys, and other essentials for Nassau County SPCA and Last Hope Animal Rescue in Wantagh. Partnering with the Wantagh Public Library and other local sites, State Sen. Steve Rhoads' weeklong effort showed how libraries, businesses, and volunteers can team up to support animals in need across Nassau County.
