Wantagh School District welcomes new teachers with summer orientation (liherald.com) — New teachers joining the Wantagh School District just completed a three-day orientation at the middle school library, getting to know administrators, programs, and the community they'll serve. Seventeen educators took part, including probationary and leave replacement teachers, and they'll receive ongoing support through mentors, monthly workshops, and instructional coaching throughout their first year.

Starset Share a Single and Video for 'p a r a d 0 x 1 c' - On Tour Now (ghostcultmag.com) — Starset's new single comes with news that the band's North American tour hits Wantagh today, Sept. 5, at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater alongside Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, and Kami Kehoe. The group, known for cinematic, sci‑fi‑themed rock shows, will continue across the continent through October, but local fans have their chance to catch the immersive production right here tonight.
   

3. En Vogue is set to bring the '90s vibes back to Jones Beach Theater (longislandpress.com) — En Vogue, TLC, and Salt-N-Pepa are bringing their "It's Iconic Tour" to Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh on September 15, giving local fans a chance to relive classic '90s hits live. The show promises collaborative performances, a greatest-hits-heavy set, and a big, feel-good night of female-led R&B and hip-hop on the oceanfront stage.
   

4. 19-year-old killed, passenger critically injured in Wantagh State Parkway crash (liherald.com) — A deadly motorcycle crash on the Wantagh State Parkway in Wantagh killed a 19-year-old rider and left his passenger in critical condition, closing all northbound lanes near Goose Neck Bridge. State Police are still investigating the Aug. 23 collision, which involved no other vehicles but caused major disruption just north of the Jones Beach water tower.
   

5. Roger Daltrey, Ringo Starr and 34 more must-see fall concerts (newsday.com) — Several big-name concerts are headed to Wantagh, including Taking Back Sunday at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater's Bay Stage on Sept. 24 and Our Lady Peace with The Verve Pipe at Mulcahy's on Sept. 29. The broader roundup highlights dozens of fall shows across Long Island, from classic rock legends to '90s favorites, giving Wantagh music fans plenty of options.
