SEAFORD, NY — A weekend crash in Old Brookville took the life of a Seaford teenager.

In a letter to families, Seaford's principal Nicole Schnabel said: "There are no words that we can share that can console the grief that Angelia’s family and friends must be experiencing at this time."

The school is providing grief counseling and psychologists all week. They are especially concerned about those who knew Dominguez best.

"We have proactively identified clusters, or circles, of students who have relationships or interact frequently with Angelia. Additionally, we will connect with any students who are exhibiting emotional distress," Schnabel wrote.

But outside of school hours, Schnabel said the Long Island Crisis Center has a crisis hotline available 24/7 for additional support at 516 679-1111.

The school was planning a moment of silence in honor of Dominguez on Monday morning.

"As parents ourselves, we ask that each of you take a moment to hug your loved ones tonight and tell them what they mean to you. This is a difficult time, but we are a special community. We know that we will come together and support one another, including Angelia’s family," the school's letter ended.
