Social Media Threat At Seaford Schools Deemed Not Credible: Cops
Seaford schools were opening on a two-hour delay Monday as police investigated a social media threat to Seaford High School.

SEAFORD, NY — Seaford schools are opening on a two-hour delay Monday as police investigate a social media threat, police confirmed to Patch. Police initially said the threat did not cite a specific school, then later clarified it had been made to Seaford High School.
The threat was not believed to be credible, police said, and schools were deemed safe for staff and students to return. Police officers remained at all Seaford schools Monday morning as a precaution.
The district told parents and students in a robocall Monday morning that it is safe for faculty and students to attend school. Two patrol cars would be at each building throughout the day, the district said, and there would be no outdoor recess or gym classes. Moreover, senior privileges would be restricted. A determination on whether after-school activities would be held will be made later in the day.
