To keep gatherings small and to ensure social distancing, students were assigned one of three times slots to visit the school. They walked up to designated classroom windows where administrators and teachers were waiting on the other side to hand over bags of items. Each senior received his or her cap and gown, yearbook, poster from the senior parade and a gift from senior class advisers Kim Flood and Shari Raduazzo – a card and a green Seaford High School Class of 2020 keychain.
Nearby, Seaford Middle School English teacher Susan Steinberg had a table set up with a pile of papers and sneaker boxes. When students were in seventh grade, they wrote letters to their future selves, which Ms. Steinberg kept and returned to them along with time capsule boxes they created.
