2 Hospitalized After Fire In Washington Heights, FDNY Says
One person was critically injured in a blaze that burned for more than an hour on West 162nd Street, the FDNY said.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two people were rushed to the hospital following a fire early Monday in Washington Heights that took more than an hour to bring under control, according to the FDNY.
The blaze erupted shortly before midnight on the third floor of the building at 566 West 162nd St. between Broadway and St. Nicholas Avenue, the FDNY said.
Crews were able to contain the fire just after 1 a.m., the FDNY said.

One victim was listed in critical condition, while a second person suffered serious injuries but was reported to be stable, fire officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
