2 Killed In Washington Heights Apartment Fire: Police
A deadly fire broke out Sunday in a residential building at 260 Audubon Avenue in Washington Heights, according to police.
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Two people were killed on Sunday after a fire broke out in a building in Washington Heights, police said.
The blaze began around midnight on the 24th floor of a residential building at 260 Audubon Avenue, between West 178th and 179th Streets, according to police.
After firefighters put out the flames, emergency services transported a 37-year-old woman and a 73-year-old woman to hospitals for smoke inhalation. Both women were pronounced dead a short time later, police said.

The FDNY Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
