As part of the Montefiore Health System, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital celebrated the opening of its new outpatient hub for musculoskeletal care located in the Hutchinson Metro Center in the Bronx. The opening of the new center was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 11.

Burke’s highly-trained therapists will help patients recover from sports injuries, orthopedic surgery, back pain and joint replacements, as well as other conditions. Joining Burke on the 10th floor of 1250 Waters Place is The Center for Orthopedic Specialties at Montefiore, as well as Montefiore Spine Center specialty services.

“Our new facility in the Hutch Metro Center really demonstrates what is possible when we strategically utilize the resources within the Montefiore Health System,” Burke President and CEO Jeffrey Menkes said. “With our therapy services directly adjacent to Montefiore’s specialty practices, we are able to make accurate diagnoses faster, hasten recovery and improve the outcomes of our patients. This is exactly what collaboration within a health system is supposed to look like.”
