Coronavirus Test Site Open In Wash Heights For Thanksgiving Rush

The site is among several that will be open until 1 p.m. on Wednesday to help New Yorkers get a coronavirus test.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Three new coronavirus testing sites will be open on Wednesday in Manhattan to help with long lines before the Thanksgiving holiday, including one in Washington Heights.

The George Washington Educational Campus at 549 Audubon Avenue will be open until 1 p.m. for coronavirus testing.

It is among 25 across New York City announced by the city Wednesday morning to help hours-long lines that have plagued New York City testing sites the last few weeks.

No appointments are needed.

The site is offering molecular PCR tests, considered the most accurate type of test by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, which is in charge of authorizing medical products.
