Desperate Mom Leaves Newborn At Washington Heights Church: Report
"Please help. I can't keep this baby. I was raped and I'm an addict," the mom wrote on a note left with the baby.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, MANHATTAN — A desperate mother left her newborn at a Washington Heights church this week, according to reports.
The mom handed over the baby in a bag to a worker at the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church on Wadsworth Avenue after banging on the church door Tuesday afternoon, police told the Daily News.
The newborn girl was inside the bag along with a note that read: “Please help. I can’t keep this baby. I was raped and I’m an addict.”

Police told the News they are not treating the incident as a crime.
