NYC Commission On Human Rights To Hold Employment Discrimination Panel Tuesday
The event will focus on tools and resources for preventing discrimination against the Hispanic community.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — The New York City Commission on Human Rights is holding an Employment Discrimination Panel at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Isabella Geriatric Center Auditorium at 515 Audubon Ave.
They will host the discussion with "prominent Hispanic leaders," and will focus on discrimination and harassment in the workplace, ways to combat it, and other issues that Hispanic New Yorkers face on a regular basis.
A press release from NYC Commission on Human Rights says the event is in conjunction with the "City Hall in Your Borough-Manhattan edition," event series, and is in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Local Hispanic government officials from the New York State Senate and Assembly, from the Mayor's Office and the Department of Citywide Administrative Services will be panelists at the discussion. They'll discuss how best to protect Hispanic New Yorkers from discrimination, including discussing the Fair Chance Act, the Credit History Law and the City's new Salary History Law.
The event will be in Spanish with simultaneous English translation, the press release said, and will include a resource fair with staff from City agencies who provide tools and protections for New York's Hispanic communities.
