Several city officials will attend the public forum to offer updates on the project and get feedback from residents.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS-INWOOD, NY — Several city officials will be in attendance for a Tuesday night public input meeting to discuss a $2.45 million redesign project of the Jacob Javits Playground in Washington Heights.

During the meeting — to be held at the Cornerstone Center on Bennett Avenue near West 189th Street at 7 p.m. — architects from the parks department will present their designs for the playground's renovation, according to the department's website.

Officials that have secured funding for the project — such as Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez ($1.5 million) and Borough President Gale Brewer ($600,000) — will attend to hear the public's feedback on the proposed designs. Members of the Fort Tryon Park Trust, which has raised $350,000 in private donations, will also be at the meeting.
