Start Your New Year With A Hike Through Inwood Hill Park

The "light intensity" walk is a perfect way to ring in the new year and recover from a big New Year's Eve.

INWOOD, NY — Ring in the new year by getting some fresh air. The Parks Department will conduct a guided hike through Inwood Hill Park on Jan. 1, 2018.

The hike is part of the Parks Department's urban park ranger program and is described as "light" intensity, according to the department's website. Hikers will congregate at the park entrance on Seaman Avenue near Isham street around 1 p.m. and hike for about one-and-a-half hours.

The light intensity hike will mainly feature a leisurely pace on mostly paved paths, so it's perfect for recuperating from a big night out on New Year's Eve. The hike is free of cost and open to everyone, according to the Parks Department.
