Summer Tennis Camp Finds Ace Location In Washington Heights

The Riverside Park Conservancy is set to provide tennis camp all summer long for children ages 4-10 at the Ft. Washington Park.

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — After many successful years of running summer tennis camps at the red clay courts at Riverside Park at 96th street, the Riverside Park Conservancy is expanding its operation this summer to provide tennis camp for children ages 4-10 at the Ft. Washington Park courts in Washington Heights.

The inaugural day of the Little Red Lighthouse Tennis Camp, named for the nearby New York City landmark, will take place on Monday, June 17.

The scenic Ft. Washington Park courts sit just south of the George Washington Bridge, hugging the Hudson River, and share the space with a nearby rock sculpture garden.

The camp will run from June 17 to Aug. 30, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m - 3:30 p.m. Tennis professional Carlos Correa will serve as the head instructor for the camp.
