Espaillat tweeted that he will be introducing a resolution at the vigil on Friday.

De La Rosa also spoke out against the actions at the Capitol on Wednesday, "Madness, this is the true face of white supremacy and fascism! An outright assault on our Democracy!"

Brewer described Wednesday's actions as "terror."

"We need unity and peace in this country, but there won't be unity until there are serious consequences for the spectacle and terror we as a nation witnessed on Wednesday," Brewer told Patch. "That's why I'm joining Congressmember Espaillat in his call to impeach and remove the president.

"I'm also calling on Congress to enact a disqualification on Donald Trump from running for or holding any United States office again — one of the punishments for impeachment provided in the Constitution," Brewer added.

As of Friday morning, 199 members of Congress and 38 members of the Senate are calling for Trump to be removed from office either through impeachment or the 25th Amendment to the Constitution, according to CNN.
