Washington Heights' Lin-Manuel Miranda Gives 'Drunk History' Retelling of Hamilton

The "Hamilton" superstar and Washington Heights native appeared on Comedy Central's "Drunk History."

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, NY — Lin-Manuel Miranda's run on Broadway's "Hamilton" has come to an end, but the Washington Heights native still enjoys talking about his favorite founding father.

Miranda appeared on Comedy Central's "Drunk History" to retell the story of Alexander Hamilton. But unlike in his hip-hop musical, Miranda trades in tight rhymes for slurred words, giggles and, of course, copious amounts of alcohol.

The episode features Manual narrating Alexander Hamilton's life story as actors Alia Shawkat, Tony Hale and Aubrey Plaza portray some the narrative's main characters. Two prominent musicians, Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters and Questlove of The Roots, make cameo appearances.
