Woman Recording Man's Lewd Act At Inwood Station Attacked: NYPD

A woman was hit in the face after she began recording a man performing a lewd act in an Inwood subway station, police said.

INWOOD, NY — The New York City Police Department is looking for a man who attacked a woman in an Inwood train station after she began recording him performing a lewd act, according to police.

On Nov. 23, a 42-year-old woman was waiting for the northbound 1 train at the 215th street station, when she began recording a man near her for doing lewd acts, police said.

After the man noticed he was being recorded, he quickly approached the woman and punched her in the face, took her cellphone, and fled the area, according to police.

The victim had bruises and swelling to the face, but refused medical attention at the scene.

NYPD released a sketch of the man Monday they want to talk to in connection to the incident.
