JetBlue To Fly Over NYC During 'Clap Because We Care' Salute
JetBlue will "bring the Clap Because We Care movement to the skies" at 7 p.m. with three special planes for the FDNY, NYPD and "I LOVE NY."
NEW YORK, NY — The Clap Because We Care nightly round of applause for frontline workers will be "brought to the skies" on Thursday when three New York-themed planes fly over the Big Apple.
JetBlue has planned a low-altitude flyover salute over the five boroughs to correspond with the 7 p.m. celebration, which brings New Yorkers to their windows and stoops to cheer for those helping during the coronavirus pandemic each night.
The flyover will include three planes with special New York-themed insignia for the FDNY, NYPD and "all those who live in and love New York" through an "I LOVE NY" logo.
