The bleach-throwing incident is the second violent attack to hit West Village subway stations in the last week.
Last week, in another unprovoked attack, a man punched a woman's teeth out as she was getting off the train at the Houston Street station.
The attacker in that incident was found a few days later, but was later rearrested after he had been released under the state's new bail reform laws.
