WEST VILLAGE, MANHATTAN — Cops have caught the man who punched a woman's teeth out in an unprovoked attack near Houston Street subway station.

Eugene C. Webb, 26, was charged Thursday with two counts of assault and one count of harassment for the Wednesday morning attack, police said.

Webb, who is homeless, had come up to the 23-year-old woman, yelling incoherently, just after 6 a.m. as she was leaving the 1 train on her way to an exercise class, according to police and the woman.

He then suddenly started punching the woman multiple times in the face, knocking her to the ground before he ran away, police said.

The woman was rushed to Beth Israel Hospital with injuries to her face and mouth, including two teeth that had been knocked out in the attack.

She was in stable condition Wednesday.
