Video Released Of Man Wanted In Attempted Sex Attack In West Vill
Police released a sketch and video Wednesday night of a man wanted in connection to a West Village home break-in and attempted sex attack.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — A woman fought off a man on Jan. 22 who broke into her West Village apartment while she was sleeping and tried to sexually assault her, according to police.
On Wednesday, police released a video and sketch of the man wanted in connection to the attack.

The frightening attack took place in a home near West 4th Street and 8th Avenue, police said.

The 31-year-old woman told police she woke up to find a man standing in her bedroom doorway demanding money and sex.
She handed the man an envelope with $600, but the attacker then demanded the woman have sex with him, according to police.

Police said the woman was able to push the man out of her apartment and also tear the cash in half.
NYPD released a video Wednesday of the man wanted in connection to the attack.
