West Village Has 3 Of The Best Eateries For Thanksgiving Feasts

Three restaurants in the West Village were featured on Eater NY's list of best eateries to visit for a Thanksgiving meal in 2020.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and the holiday in 2020 won't look like most years.

There are families canceling plans, younger generations showing grandparents how to set up Zoom for holiday video calls, and many more people planning to eat alone this Thanksgiving.

With the lesser number of people gathering together with loved ones, more New Yorkers will count on local restaurants to supply their Thanksgiving meal.

Eater New York is doing its part to help NYC residents pick the right restaurant for Turkey Day. Eater is a popular food website that provides a wide array of news and reviews for New York City restaurants.

The website recently unveiled its "21 Stellar Restaurants for Thanksgiving Day Feasts in NYC."

Three restaurants in the West Village made Eater's list.

Dante NYC: 79-81 MacDougal Street

The current No. 2 ranked bar in the world is offering a $95 Thanksgiving menu, including: a toffee apple Manhattan cocktail, a roasted turkey breast with apricot and sage stuffing, or agave glazed ham with apple mustard, and warm pumpkin eggnog.

The Dutch: 131 Sullivan Street

The upscale American eatery is offering a three-course Thanksgiving Day meal priced at $130, which you can get from 1 to 8 p.m on the holiday. There is also a to-go option for $85. The menu includes broccoli soup with black truffles, roast turkey with mushrooms and maple chestnuts, and pecan pie with a pretzel crust.

Extra Virgin: 259 West 4th Street

The Mediterranean restaurant is offering a three-course $75 Thanksgiving menu and a cheaper $50 takeout menu. If you want the takeout menu, you have to order it by Tuesday. The three-course holiday menu includes: pistachio-crusted goat cheese salad, roasted turkey breast with sausage stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry relish and turkey gravy, and for dessert, a white chocolate pumpkin parfait.
