1 Killed After Crash At Funeral Home: Cops
The car careened down the driveway at a Long Island funeral home and crashed into the garage, killing a man, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A man was killed after a truck crashed into a funeral home in Hampton Bays Sunday, police said.
According to officials at the scene, the truck, with two men inside, came down Fanning Avenue at a high rate of speed around 5 p.m. and did not stop at the intersection of Ponquogue Avenue, plowing right down the driveway of the Scott Rothwell Funeral Home and crashing into the funeral home's garage.
One person died; another was taken with serious injuries to Southampton Hospital, police confirmed.
