Agenda 21 and Southampton Town.  Do you care? Agenda 21 and Southampton Town.  Do you care? You bet you should care! Why? If you care about you property rights, your privacy, your civil liberties, your health. So what is going on?

Let me explain”Agenda 21".It is a project out of the United Nations, that has been dressed up as “Sustainable Development”. This is a global political and economic action plan, based on the thought that ”current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class-involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning and suburban housing are not sustainable”Maurice Strong, the Secretary General of the “ Earth Summit Conference” in 1992. As a result 178 nations signed an agreement, President George H. W. Bush signed on behalf of the United States. In 1993, President Clinton by executive order established the Presidents Council on Sustainable Development.
So why should I care about history? Well this is what Sustainable Development seeks to accomplish:
•    The step by step abolition of private property, primarily through the implementation of Wildlands Project and Smart Growth.
•    Re-eduction of youth as global, rather than American citizens.
•    Control and ultimate reduction of human population.

 The concept of Equality, Economy and Environment expressed as a three E Symbol, means:

•    Equality: To shift our American values, and our rightful expectation that the purpose of government is to protect our natural or individual rights “you and the products of your labor belong to you” or as George Washington stated “Private property and freedom are inseparable.” Instead to enforce a change in our system of justice, away from one that adheres to the principle of our individual equal justice and unalienable rights under the law, as per our Declaration of Independence, to one of communitarian values, control of the individual for the greater good of the global community. A system of “Social Justice” in which the government grants, restricts or withdraws your rights according to its needs , “you and the product of your labor belong to the community”. And that “ individual human wants and needs and desires are to conform to the views and dictates of planners.”
•    Economy: Shifting from free enterprise to “public-private partnerships’ in laymen terms government run corpotocracy, known as Fascism .
•    Environment: Nature above human beings.

The above are some of the fundamental values of the 3E’s which intend to affect every area of our lives.

So what has this to do with our community? Southampton Town Board is intending to implement a document referred to as “Sustainable 400+” A vaguely defined document, which if approved  opens up to a litany of abuse, as proven by the experiences of other communities. This pre conceived plan, a document sold as a guideline in a proposal prepated in conjunction with  the Green Committee by a consulting organization called ICLEI, (International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives) of which Southampton Town lists itself as being a member, on the town website.
 ICLEI, is an NGO Organization originating out of  Bonn, Germany, in other words not originating in the USA with our constitutional values incorporated, was created to further Agenda 21 at the local level. The Sustainable 400+ document was supposedly supported by 3 “Visioning” sessions organized without extensive public notice, to seemingly garner public support, in which the total of approximately 240 citizen participated and decided what would be applicably for the thousands of resident of our community. The grants of HUD moneys that are offered as a seductive inducement, come with government strings attached, that could put our local self governing process in jeopardy. Once accepted, payed for with our taxpayer money, outside ICLEI consultants advise town boards as to what rules and laws to impalement.And there is always the possibility that we would be absorbed into a region, at which point our self governing goes out the window.

The whole Agenda 21 is presented as an environmental project to protect the planet and combat CO2 global warming. This is a huge sham, created not to protect the environment, but to control our lives and take away our freedoms of choice, considered Unconstitutional, it is disguised environmental wolf, dressed in sheep’s clothing and wearing a green mask.

So before such an agenda gets imposed on our community I would like to encourage you into doing your own research, take responsibility for what may be about to be inflicted on you life, your children’s lives, and the future generations. We as a community can take responsibility for our environment, by eliminating the use of toxic pesticide and herbicide, that are poisoning the soil ( Glyphosate Weedkiller in Our Food and Water? Study says that negative impact on the body is insidious and manifests slowly over time as inflammation damages cellular systems throughout the body. Round up? ) and our water and waterways, killing marine life and possibly affecting the bees, and our and particularly our children’s health, who play on that toxic grass. Stopping the useless cutting down of trees that create oxygen, by allowing builders to clear cut properties, just so they don’t have to deal with the expense of protecting existing old growth trees; by allowing above ground endless pools that shed water over the edges, precious water that evaporates, and a waste of our water resources. By forbidding planting of any genetically modified crop in our area, eliminating the use of mercury bulbs, supporting labeling of genetically modified food, and so much more. Those of us who oppose Southampton 400+, are just as concerned for our environment, we just want a reasonable home rule, not with strings attached and special interests who are only interested in a profit motive at our expense.

And finally let you voice be heard, voice your opinion in opposition of the Sustainable 400+ possibly being voted for, by a group of 8 people, the members of Southampton Town Board, several who are running for re-election, and others who are leaving, who ultimately will not be accountable to our community for what they could imposed on us.. If at all, the choice should be by the whole community by a vote.
