Family Service League is pleased to announce that now through April 15, 2013, free income tax preparation is being offered to families and individuals making less than $49,000 per year. This program is being provided through a generous grant from The Robin Hood Foundation to help community members impacted by super storm Sandy. This income tax assistance service is being offered at four locations conveniently located throughout Suffolk County. Walk-ins are welcome and the first one-thousand approved applicants will be accepted.

Family Service League, established in 1926, is a Long Island non-profit human services organization providing a safety net for people in need. Serving 50,000 people annually, addressing some of the most prevalent and pressing human needs challenges facing Long Island communities, FSL delivers tangible help and crisis intervention across a spectrum of service areas including mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, job training, computer literacy, trauma counseling, at-risk youth, family and senior citizen support services. In addition, FSL operates pre-school learning centers, universal pre-K programs, camp and Suffolk County’s only Community School.
